INTERN REFLECTION: SANAI

“Heyyy, my name is Sanai Sancho and my pronouns are she/her and sometimes they. Center BAE wasn’t like the average flyers hung up at my school. When this flyer in particular was sent to me by my sister, I knew it was meant for me. It wasn’t just because my sister knows me best. It was as if the flyer was talking to me itself. “yesss this is perfect” I thought to myself. A way for me to connect and learn more about the ins and outs of my passion. Networking with like-minded people that support me and my goals was a very refreshing feeling. 

Throughout my 12 weeks at Center BAE, I learned a lot. Stepping out of my comfort zone and really taking the time out to consider how I choose to show up in this world. I got to take a step back and admire as well as embrace how far I've come to get to where I am today by creating an asset forward presentation. With the help and motivation of my Boss/Program Director Ben, my confidence grew +1000 just off the strength that he created a safe space for everyone to feel comfortable with being themselves without fear. Ben has taught me to take pride in who I am, and let go of my old self for the better. LIVE IN THE ORANGE !

Overall, I’d say I’ve learned a lot. We went on the most amazing trips and I got the wholesome experience of meeting the most wonderful people in the world that has helped me and given me advice that I will carry on for the rest of my life. Because of Ben, I have regained the hope that there are good people out there in the world that want to see you shine. Don’t hesitate to sign up for Center BAE.
