Scholarship winner, Hemant, on his many years with BAE!

We have had the pleasure of knowing Hemant since 2015. He is an active participant and leader in the BAE programs, a star soloist with the Shanti Bhavan Choir, and is the proud recipient of the Better Tomorrow Scholarship for the class of 2023.
“For many years, the students of Shanti Bhavan have had the incredible opportunity of experiencing Broadway for Arts Education as a core part of their education. The transformative power of arts education cannot be understated, and having the chance to learn from professionals and explore their creativity has been nothing short of magical.
Beyond the technical skills, Broadway for Arts Education has had a profound impact on our personal development. Through the arts, we learned to empathize with different characters, understanding their struggles and triumphs. We gained confidence as we stepped out of our comfort zones and embraced vulnerability. The experience of working as a team and collaborating with fellow students taught us the value of communication, cooperation, and trust. These skills have not only shaped us as artists but also as compassionate individuals ready to take on the world.
As we near the end of our journey at Shanti Bhavan, we eagerly anticipate our graduation performances. Months of hard work and preparation have culminated in this moment where we can showcase our talent and growth. The arts camp that accompanied our graduation served as a fun-filled celebration of our achievements. We got to create, explore, and experiment in various art forms, including theater, music, dance, and visual arts. This camp allowed us to delve deeper into our passions and broaden our artistic horizons, igniting our imaginations for what lies ahead.
Throughout this incredible journey, there is one person, among many others, who has been our constant guiding light - Ms. Brittany. Her dedication, passion, and infectious energy have inspired us every step of the way. Ms. Brittany believed in us even when we doubted ourselves, pushing us to reach new heights. She fostered an environment of creativity and expression, allowing us to explore our unique artistic voices. Her ability to recognize our strengths and tailor her teaching to our individual needs has been instrumental in our growth as performers and individuals.
As we prepare to bid farewell to our beloved home in Shanti Bhavan and embark on new chapters of our lives, we carry with us the invaluable gift of Broadway for Arts Education. The memories we have created, the lessons we have learned, and the friendships we have forged will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. George, our founder and dad, for his unwavering belief in us and for helping us discover the transformative power of the arts. We are also tremendously grateful to our entire BAE team for making this experience memorable. We leave with the confidence that our time at Shanti Bhavan will continue to shape our lives and inspire us to chase our dreams.
Having Broadway for Arts Education as a vital part of our education at Shanti Bhavan has been an incredible journey of creativity, growth, and self-discovery. The impact of this program on our lives is immeasurable, and the final performances and arts camp celebration serve as a fitting tribute to the transformative power of the arts. As we move forward, we carry the memories, skills, and passion instilled in us by our fabulous instructors from BAE. Our graduation marks the beginning of new adventures, but the magic of music and creativity will forever resonate within us, reminding us of the incredible journey we had at Shanti Bhavan.”
