World Pride Stars!

In celebration of World Pride 2019, members of the Youth Pride Chorus had the privilege to join Erika Henningsen and the Broadway cast of Mean Girls in a flash mob in Madison Square Park, performed on a Plastics-pink Sing For Hope piano. As one of only 7 queer youth choruses in the United States, we were so grateful for this moment of visibility during Pride month, and so proud of our youth stepping outside of their comfort zones, #LivingInTheOrange, and fearless being leaders in their communities. It was an honor to be able to say “We see you there!” to queer youth around the world who don’t share the same freedoms of expression as we do in New York City. You are seen, you are loved, and you are a STAR!
