Transcript:
My name is Tiffany Rae and I'm a dance teaching artist for Broadway for Arts Education. I could teach all day. But what I cannot teach is passion. And these girls give me passion. They want it, they're hungry. And I, I love a hungry dancer. I love a dancer that wants it. I found this dance competition, literally a week before it was supposed to start. And I decided, let's go, let's do it. Whether we placed first or second, or we didn't place at all. All that mattered was us having this experience. The way the girls reacted when I told them like, Hey, we're gonna do a competition, it was like, I never see them so excited. I'm like, can y'all pull this off in five days? They was like, yeah, we can, we can. The day of the performance, it was like, it was so much chaos. I knew that I had to really be composed and chill and very confident, even though deep down, out inside I was just like going through so much chaos inside myself. The moment that they went on stage, they like absolutely killed it. They really, really had fun on that stage. And they did they thing, they absolutely did the thing. We won first place hip hop award. We won highest score for hip hop and we also won the best group to wow the judges. And we will be competing at regionals. I'm just so glad they got this experience and I just can't wait to bring them into so many other experiences as well. I'm just like so grateful for them and I just, Truly, truly love all my girls so much.
