Record Breaking: Spotlight Gala

On October 26, we presented our very first Broadway Spotlight Gala, featuring young performers from Spotlight Kids singing alongside our Broadway Ambassadors in support of our programming across New York City. We raised a record-breaking $120,064! This was our first gala concert since before COVID, and for those of you who have been with BAE since the beginning, I think you'll share in my immense pride at that monumental fundraising total. We are so grateful to our supporting sponsors, Tamryn and Nedal Shami, Nicole and Richard Park, Goldman Sachs, CBRE, and Seyfarth, to all of the students and families who participated, and to our incredible team of performers and volunteers who pulled of the evening.

When Tamryn first approached me with this idea, I was envisioning a small cocktail party. I would have never guessed that two short months later, we would be producing our biggest and most elaborate gala to date. But, that goes to show the power of abundant thinking, and surrounding yourself with incredible power partners dedicated to bringing a shared vision to life. We are so grateful for our new, strong relationship with Spotlight Kids, and truly believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Next up: we are coming back Richmond on Nov 5 with our fabulous crew of Broadway Ambassadors for our first Hearts with Haiti gala since 2019! If you are in the area, we hope to see you there!

With gratitude,

Ben Houghton,
