We are thrilled with our new Virtual Music Instruction (VMI) Program at the Shanti Bhavan Children's Project, which launched in July of 2021. Although the pandemic has presented our music program with many challenges this past academic year, we were able to benefit from the accessibility of virtual learning, as it has allowed us to connect with reputable artists and teachers from around the world. Our new VMI Program is an extension of the virtual pedagogy we engaged during the pandemic, and it has given our applied music and choir students the opportunity to learn from quality instructors of various applied music disciplines, including voice, piano, flute, drums, conducting, composition, etc. This year our first cohort of VMI instructors consist of university professors, pedagogues, and performing artists from around the world who serve about 40 of our students who are enrolled in applied music lessons. Whether we are making music in person or virtually, we strive to do so in an intentional manner, in hopes that we can bring deeper meaning into the world, and we are grateful to have a team of committed virtual instructors to help us achieve this at Shanti Bhavan.

Congratulations Class of 2021!
