Welcome, Ylenia! Our New Music Fellow

BAE’s Summer 2024 Shanti Bhavan Music Fellow, Ylenia Piola, has vision to ignite a love for diverse music and vocal performance. With an impressive academic background that includes a recent Master of Music in Music Education from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, Ylenia will use her infectious enthusiasm for world music and vocal exploration to inspire students to delve into new styles of music.

She has trained in both Musical Theatre and Jazz Singing, and hopes to bring a broad perspective on music education that will allow her to connect with students on a variety of musical levels and abilities. She believes in creating a safe space for musical expression and building a strong student community through music-making.
