Lift Every Voice

When COVID-19 swept through NYC, Broadway ‘s Babies was able to switch to a completely virtual teaching platform in a matter of weeks, allowing UA students to continue taking weekly arts classes throughout the NYC school shut-down. After living through the worst of the pandemic, the death of George Floyd, and the turmoil of the world at large, our students requested that they create a virtual concert to help them be seen and heard during a time in which they were silenced. In honor of their strength and resilience, they created Lift Every Voice, a virtual fundraising concert featuring the work they did during COVID, and additional pieces they wrote and performed to give voice to their experiences and feelings.
