[VIDEO] YPC honors TDOR: Trans Day of Remembrance

From GLAAD: The Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Additionally, the week before TDOR, people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness Week to help raise visibility for transgender people and address issues the community faces.

Members of the Youth Pride Chorus, led by Z, perform ‘That I Would Be Good’ from the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill. Lyrics:

That I would be good, even if I did nothing
That I would be good, even if I got the thumbs down
That I would be good even if I got resentful
That I would be good even if I gained ten pounds

That I would be fine even if I act like a child (why won't you accept who I need to be?)
That I would be good even if my hair stays wild (does anyone hear me?)
That I would be great if I just stop standing by (everything is fucked when you're not here)
That I would be grand if I was not all knowing

I need to know
That I would be loved even when I am my true self (it has to get better)
That I would be good even when I am overwhelmed (I pray it will)
That I would be loved (am I loved?)
Even when I was fuming
I need to hear that I would be good
Even if I was clingy

That I would be good even if I lost sanity
That I would be good whether with or without you
I (I, I)
I (I, I)
No, I (no, I, I)
I (I, I)
